Hidden Chateau & Garden

The concept for Delectables de Bucca started while collecting chocolate wrappers while traveling around the world in 1995. Every time I visited a new country, I discovered many interesting new confections. When I returned home, it was fun to host party where guests could enjoy chocolates from all kinds of international regions. The wrappers have remained in a scrapbook that continues to grow every year.

As a result, in January 2000, I decided to commission a chocolate company that featured truffles, peanut cups, caramels, and white chocolate clusters. The confections were sold at a boutique in Santa Barbara which was listed among the "Most Elite in America" by Cadogan Publishers, and my appreciation for gourmet foods continued to develop. Attending the Fancy Food Show in San Francisco over the years has exposed me to renowned vendors from around the world, and it's so interesting to see how others use international cuisine to entertain guests. I have discovered that it is as pleasurable to share great food with others as it is to enjoy it oneself.

As a result, in 2002 the company relocated to the Hidden Chateau & Garden in West Hills, California where we found a charming place to host memorable events. Originally built as a horse stable by a silent film actor named Francis Lederer, the establishment has been designated as a Cultural Landmark in Los Angeles. Over the years, the inside has been converted into a charming gift shop containing antiques, home furnishings, and fine accessories. Outdoors in the former corral, brick and stone architecture lends a rustic appeal, a colonnade of graceful archways lead into an elegant garden with a gazebo. Many native plants line the cobblestone pathway, and an authentic wagon rests among colorful flowers with its iron wheels. Delectables de Bucca is pleased to manage special events such as weddings, receptions, showers, corporate meetings, and private parties in a romantic environment that allows people to enjoy a charming storybook experience.
